Rotarys are the greatest sounding motors...

They also can spool a turbo much faster than the same turbo on a SR because there is considered 3 combustion points on the rotor.... Its nice that they put one in a car that the suspension is more tunable towards drifting because Mazda over engineered the suspension of the Fc and Fd...

I love it.

400whp and 280tq @ 13lbs

Not bad numbers, I wonder what the power-to-weight is on this or would it big enough difference to notice?

I hear Rotary engines are real bad when it comes to overheating..

That's pretty sweet! There are a lot worse motors you can put in these chassis. Is it me, or is it sitting up really high?

BRRRRNT. They can spool a turbo much faster because they have 1 combustion event for every rotor rotation. That also means that this "1.3L" really moves the same amount of air as a 2.6L traditional Otto-cycle. So yeah, it spools faster because it has more equivalent displacement.

Even with the dry sump, it does sit up really high. Silly wacky triangle motors.
