He deleted his for sale thread, however it was a stock red s14 SE with 190,000 miles on it. He wanted $3,200 for it firm.

But congratulations McLovin, your the first fuck face to make fun of my name. props anyway well my friend wants to trade me his 95 S14 coupe for my GST but from what I hear this motor isnt worth upgrading and im better of trying to do an SR swap. Ive owned nothing but DSMs so im relieved to move on to something more reliable. I love these cars but it gets pretty annoying fixing them everyday. I have a 91 6-bolt swap with a evo III 16g (common upgrade) DSM-Link, 3" turbo back exhaust and 2.5" hard pipes w/ fmic and im waiting on the GM MAF with Translator Pro and some 550cc injectors but we'll see what happens. Anyway I got to do a lil test drive the other day and the car seems to have no low end power and it doesnt pull very well, is there any reasonable upgrades to the KA motor?
Well if you want a reliable car...........bad idea moving to 240's.lol.

But in all seriousness, 240's are a very reliable car when they are built right. I have never had any mechanical issues (knock on wood) because I feel like I built it right the first time.

Since the S15 was never sold here, finding a registered road legal example really isn't practical. IMO, the closest option would be finding an S14.

I've only driven in 2 drift events, and 1 auto-x, so my competition experience is very limited. All I know is I love my S14 as a DD. And I get good mileage with my SR. I feel like something with a shorter wheelbase and closer to 50/50 dist would be better if you wanna do auto-x. For ex, a miata , an ae86, or an rx-7.

All that is my .02

Can we dial back the personal attacks people? If you want to name-call or have the overwhelming urge to keep it real, show up at a meet and do it in person.

wow everybody is bashing everyone.
ok the cars start out in 1989 in the US and stopped in 1998 between then they made the s13 and s14
the s13 is almost 50/50 weight distrubution and weighs ruffly 2600ish
now the s14 is like 40/60 and weighs 2700ish
they are called S chassies
they have seen motors from ka24e,ka24de,sr20det,rb20det,rb25det,rb26dett,and all kinds of V8's-- all the ka's and sr's are 4 pistons and all rb's are straight 6's 1 or 2 turbos .
all of these motors make good to insane types of power
if you get a stock s14 it comes with the ka24de if you build it up they are great and known for torque.
but you can put an sr in and have 205 hp and make that nice same with the rb20
but if you have money to spend look i to the rb25 -rb26 great power factory can make them insane.
if you are thinking of fixing up the ka i would suggest you go to www.kat.org
they will have everything you want to know about them.
also you can go to a nissan website with everything about evrything LOL i hope i spell it right www.nicoclub.com
hope this helps you out... and try not to take things so seriously everybody makes fun of people and things on here. and if you do get mad just wait till you see them at a nissan meet see what they say then LOL

+1

Most of the people i've known who had blown motors have either had a waste gate fail or they rev out to the heavens or they just blow the shit up sometimes by beating the shit out of it. These are all over 400hp to the ground im talking about but still built very well. Shit I knew Glen when he had over 600hp on a stock block, I couldn't believe it actually lasted as long as it did that shit is insane. Everyone will tell you anything can be very reliable it just depends on how its built, who builds it and how its tuned. Also how you drive it.
