CP is regarded as the best off the shelf piston. It's just that the others aren't that far behind. Checked Summit Racing prices on Wiseco? They're usually pretty good and ship from their Georgia warehouse.

Doesnt anyone have any hard proof that the CP's are better? This is all hear say. I will say that weisco has been in the business for a very looonnnngggg time and that is why I buy them over CP's.

I'd go CP Pistons for 30$ more.

From what I remember, most of their stuff has a higher silicon content, which is bad because it causes more thermal expansion, and the piston is more brittle.

Yes there is proof that a CP > Wiesco.. I will find the SAE article that compared most major brands. The 2 foremost things that make a CP better are the content of the alloy that resist hotspotting better and ring land design which was proven stronger under some circumstances...
Of course the circumstances are so extreme that the difference shouldn't be taken into consideration when buying one or the other. You are not going to be making 1000+hp so these conditions do not apply.
