i need a new gas tank for an s14... before monday.. anyone got it??

also just curious but has anyone ever seen the s14 truck???

 

no truck that ive seen and go to www.car-parts.com type in your zip code. then scroll down to you see fuel tank hit enter. then bam closest to you right there.

 

I have a gas tank for $170 with the pump lmk.

 

i went through this mess as well a couple months ago.

just know that if you buy one from a private seller, they won't be able to ship it..i was told from numerous people that used gas tanks can't be shipped.


but if you buy it new (like i had to... $415 at the time), they CAN ship it.


also know that when you replace the gas tank, you might as well replace the filler hose (the biggest one attached to the top of the tank.. it's the hose you pump the gas into)
because when you attach it to a new tank, the decade-old rubber hose may leak (mine did).. this is a japan-only part, so order it as soon as you can to allow it the appropriate time to get to you.)


and you have to drop your subframe to replace the tank, so put aside a full day for the procedure (in case anything goes wrong)

 

Man good luck finding one local. I had this problem about 3 yrs ago and went through a lot to get one shipped to me. I spent like $165 (including shipping) but the lobar was outrageous because it's a PITA to remove the old one and install a replacement.

Ace Junk Yard has 1 s14, It still has the tank and all. If you need another filler house cause like what Michael.Timz said it will crack, go to amazon hoses. I bought a complete filler house from them, and they molded to the shape of the factory house for $30!
