Need help on ka24de head
hey, i was hopeing that some one could tell me or show me a web site that shows u how to remove the head on the 1992 ka24de, so i can replace the pistons and pistons rods with forge parts. thank u.
lols... if you cant remove the head by yourself, dont try to do the internals... Pay someone who can do it.
its all the same...
oh shit, now that you ask, I can't remember...
i do remember that it is bigger than most sets come with...
you need to go get the socket style one for the torque wrench anyway... I'll have to go dig mine up and get you the size...
and yeah, its basically the same as a 350 head... just walk them on and off one step at a time, so there are no stress points on the head. and start in the middle and work your way out like usual...
oh, and if you're gonna take the time to do the internals and what not, then take the time to get the head machined... once it is machined, don't bump it on anything... its better to be overly anal about how you treat it then to run the risk of hurting it...

allen key sockets are the best for that sort of thing and if you can do the bottom end on a treefidy then you can do a ka. just get you a manual and make sure you make some marks for the timing when it goes back together. oh and btw get some plastigauge !!!
