Exclamation 4.6dohc Swap In A 240sx?

I Have A 94 Lincoln Markviii With The 4.6dohc Cobra Motor And I Am Trying To Think Of A Monster I Can Put Together. I Know I Would Have No Problems Putting The Motor In A Fox Body Stang, But I Was Thinking Of A 89-93 240sx Instead.
If Anyone Has Any Info On This, It Would Be Much Appreciated Cause All I Can Find Is Everybody Doing Ls1 Swaps!

That's not truly a "Cobra" motor. I'd skip it and go for a 96-01 Cobra motor as it's aluminum instead of iron.

All aluminium dohc V8 and independent rear suspension in anything = excitement.
All aluminium dohc V8 in anything = appreciation.
Iron block V8 in anything = bad weight bias or just heavy.

but i can still appreciate the work if you put the time in and do it right.

I was talking with some friends about this. Why not just do the LS1? It would be easier obviously. Way bigger motor and way more power. Out the box you won't have as much HP or TQ as the LS1. There really is no point for the 4.6 motor. If you were going to do a 5.4 s/c or something than maybe.

wow ..um this is a aluminum motor and only different is cams and intake. 96-01 cobra motor go for 3 times more than a mark viii motor , so u can have a cheap cobra motor .

Hmm, a factory forged crank v. a nodular cast crank is why I'd leave the Lincoln motor in the yard. You are correct about it being aluminum, I had it confused with the iron 5.4 I saw in a VIII I worked on once or twice.

Regardless, the first thing I would do is go and grab a tape measure and a note pad, see if it can even fit. Steering might be an issue (clearance with the steering shaft).

that crank is good for 500whp .. but the rod and or pistons will break befor that . this is a good motor will hold 420whp for years . i think this swap would be cool , but it will take a bit of work and this guy sounds a bit green for a project like this .
