Default SR20 runs fine and outta nowhere starts stuttering. Please help!

Hey everyone, I was really hoping you can help me. I have a 1992 240sx with the Red Top SR20. Every couple days while I'm just driving normal the car starts hesitating. It gets to the point where I need to pull over. It runs rough and then it'll rev to 2500rpms then fall off again. After a few minutes it usually gets better. I seems to have gotten a little worse recently and its getting really annoying and I was hoping you guys can help. I'm new to the Nissan world and am not really sure what this can be. It would help me sooo much if anyone can give me an idea. Thanks!

2500rpm sounds like a MAF issue... check the maf connection for loose wires and clean the connections off.

Start there and if that doesn't work, I am sure we can think of other things to check.

Thats what we're thinking... I got a new ground thinking that was a possibility. But why is it so random and not constant?

I checked connections and it seems fine. Changed the ground but it hesitated last night again. Didn't last very long. And also I sprayed maf cleaner on the sensor. Any other ideas guys? I just think its rare for it to happen once a day and only last for a couple minutes.

Check the connection to the ECU... Get a Voltmeter and ensure there is no interruption in signal... also, try cleaning the connections to the ECU.

Oh, by the way. The Z32 MAF is supposed to be close to new. I'm hoping it's not bad! You seem very knowledgable, ease my mind and tell me you think its a bad connection for sure!
