Today, my girlfriend started my car and backed it up, when she got out she told me that the car was shaking severely. I drove the car up the block, and the car was shaking horribly, not even just in idle, while accelerating, while braking, and at idle. According to some other forums they say the injectors can go bad and cause loud ticking from the motor. This ticking also just started today.. While idling the car makes a loud ticking noise. Could this be a bad valve!? They also say that valve tap commonly happens over 130k miles..which i just hit 132k lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Im not going to have the car for very much longer but it is my daily driver..so i need it to run. Thanks in advance for any help

 

maybe a cylinder misfire?

 

misfire of some sort....
gonna have to start with the basics and go from there... the injectors are common, so start unplugging one at a time.. when you find the one that doesn't change anything, then that is the bad one...
you can also take a long extension and put it up to your ear and probe around the motor/head to see if you can narrow down where the noise is coming from...

MISFIRE!

Check your injectors. Ethanol seems to be fucking up a lot of VG injectors. Id suggest going for new style injectors if you can. Nismo makes them. I dont knwo if they make them below 555cc though which MAY be an issue for an N/A J30, lmfao!

 

lol, ill look it up.. yea, the j30 i got from my moms boss, they upgraded ot another infiniti, they gaveme all the paper work since the day they drove it off the shworrom floor.i also think whatever this issue is could be related to another issue im having, SEVERLEY POOR GAS MILEAGE..im talking around 10 mpg or less right now.. i try and drive the car now as it takes liek 85 to fill it up and only takes 4 drives to kill the tank..lol
