I would just buy a whole kit like a Greddy 3 layer intercooler with mandrel bent hard pipes. Youll never have to replace the silicon intercooler hoses. After all.. it was good enough to use on the 8sec Jun Silvia!

There are other kits by:
HKS
Blitz
ARC
etc...
To see them you have to go to the company Japan homepage.

You really should be a little bit more descriptive on what car your sr20det is going into.

Im assuming its an S13 240sx in which case you still have the 180sx front end on it (retractable headlights).

You should purchase the greddy or trust as known in japan front mount intercooler kit from yuri @ www.srswap.com . he can get it i believe for 1000 shipped to your house. It is the best fitting but you will need a custom turbo to first iC pipe pipe made custom out of mandrel bends.

as far as diameter i would do 2 ID from the turbo and 2.25 from the cooler this way the gas can expand and cool more.

Sounds about right on the intercooler. I am a fan of the Greddy 3 layer its out of the box good! Well your at it that Greddy intake manifold might be nice too.

Of course it will be great for high boost levels.

it will also be great for high lag levels.

bigger is not always better. especially with a name like drifting you will want throttle response.

unless of course 180s are your thing
