HUD AND CLUSTER lights out
ok well i finally took some time and took apart my cluster and found out the lights are burnt out, both the digital speedo in the cluster and the HUD have burnt lights and that why they are not working...is it possible to replace just the lights or do i have to replace both the HUD and the Cluster?

just replace the lights. autozone has them.

im not sure if u know what lights im talking bout....>I'm talking about the ones that actually light up the numbers of the speed your going, not the ones that light up all the CE light and shit.......i tried looking on how to get the lights out but i duno how, i'll have to get some pix of it and then post and then maybe you guys will know what im talkin bout

thanks but wrong lights...im not sure if they are eve lights, when i took the cluster and hud out, there is a dime size burn mark in the glass/plastic in the bottom right corner of the digital lens??help at all to ne one..im going to try n take some pix tonight at work and post them tomorrow..

hold on jimmy before you go spending way way way too much money
The hud screen itself has a burnt mark on it from the factory, dont ask me why, but they all do, every single one I have seen. The reason its not working is a tiny resistor in between all those circuit boards stacked on top of each other, if you know anything about electrical its a very easy fix. I thought the same thing when i looked at mine, I was like damn this thing is charred, then i replaced the resistor and tada!

damn well thats interesting to know...thanks..yes i was reading up on nico but everytime i go and pull it apart it is at work and i do not hjave a computer and i forget which resistor it is..but i thought the resistor was only for the HUD and not the cluster side of the speedo??input?

i believe that the cluster part has a different resister... maybe even a fuse...
I can't remember, I've only been dealing with the "normal" ones for a little while now... either way, it is fixable, it doesn't need replaced...
