Reasons.......

1. These are lighter than 17s only 13.5 each.

2. I will have a little smoother ride with 50 series up front and 45 series out back than I would with 45s up front and 40s out back.

3. The tires are cheaper than 17 inchers

4. I got an excellent deal on them.

5. These wheels are fairly rare there arent too many sets in the country and Ive never seen a set around town.

well actually the kosei K1s ARE Buddy Club P1s. same wheel. there are 2 versions of the buddy club wheel. one with lip one without. check them out at

http://www.takakaira.com/rimsandtyres/rimsandtyresindex.html

click on the buddy club p1-Racing.

also charles those offsets seem high. all the research i did indicates slightly less offset.

RAYS reccomends +33 front and +38 rear.
that Japanese parts site reccomends 32- 35.

Just curious because i will soon be in the market as well

Check this site out.........
http://www.socal240sx.org/

Specifically this link.......
http://www.socal240sx.org/profiles/ac01.html

That guy has the same wheels Im getting same size tires Im getting with an extreme drop and said he only has VERY little rubbing only while autox-ing the car at its limit. Im only planning on a mild drop so I should be fine.

Tires should be here tomorrow afternoon hopefully I can get them mounted Wednesday/Thursday and I will let you know. Im still at stock ride height for the time being. Car might actually looked jacked up a bit with the lower profile tires until I lower it
