Default Has anyone had this problem????

I have a 98 s14 and th brakes will sometimes start to lock up a little bit then they will stay like that and if i turn the car off for a while they will go back to normal then mess up again. Should I try to change the fluid and if I should do that how to I drain all the fluid?

It's the master. Remove and replace it.

If the brakes are just mushy after you replace the master, look into either replacing the booster and/or check the rubber lines that go from it to the manifold.

And I would like to add that I hope you have small hands. You're gonna need 'em.

master, booster, check calipers. Could be metal to metal on your rotors also.

It is the master.
I've seen the same thing a few times before.
The seals inside the master go bad and it just adds pressure to the fluid, but it doesn't allow the pressure to go down until you either let it sit for a bit or bleed it off in some cases.
Replace the master.
Like others have said, you might consider replacing both the master and the booster. It isn't needed, but might as well. inspect the rest of the braking system to see if there was any other damage caused from seized up master.

Bad brake lines can also cause it to hold pressure on the brakes.

true, but I've been seeing an increasing trend in bad masters though. Thats where I'm putting my money...
