turn up da boost....or not
i might be a idiot for this question but im letting you guys kno im a newb.........so shall i begin...ok i own a sr20det redtop in a s14 and i just bought a garrett gt2871r .64 and i want to know do i have to tune the car before i turn the boost up to 14 right now im at 7 pounds.
my supporting mods are
>turbo xs turbo manifold
>manual boost controller
>greddy fmic
>recurculating hks ssq bov
>z32 maf
>740cc injectors
>z32 igniter
>apexi dual catback
>trust downpipe
>exedy stage 3 spec clutch
>walbro 255/lhr
>hks actuator
the car doesnt run rich or anything so if do turn it up will i hurt anything on my car? help plz

its safe to run it at 14 but it might run a little rough. unplug the battery for a few mins to restart the computer.
but buy a better head gasket in the near future.

The pump, injectors, maf, and igniter are the main things you need besides the tune, that is the most important thing. 3 things make an engine run, air fuel and spark, you obviously have the air from the turbo and the ability to read it from the maf, the fuel from the pump and injectors, and the spark from the igniter. So with a nice tune, you should be good to go, the HG is only a huge worry if the tune sucks, but still a good idea Just in Case.
