Default Loose timing chain?

Ok so i drove my S13 to the tire shop to pick up my friend while his car was getting worked on i parked n started hearing a funny sound like a rattle in the head of the motor.. one of the TIRE KINGDOM employees mentioned it can possibly be a loose timing chain.. My question is: Does anyone think they kno wat that sound may come from? and if it is the timing chain wat kind of damage can it do?/// how can i get it fixed??

it is the chain rattling against the guide/retainer.
take your valve cover off and you'll see it. two bolts hold it on. remove bolts, remove that metal piece. also, if you're feeling really cool, you'll take your front timing cover off and take off your tensioner, clean it up so it moves better and replace it. but, only do that if you're cool...
