Default nissan cooling fans?

ive wanted to buy new fans for my car since the stock ones are pretty much useless at this point in my s13 sr20det. my friend suggested buying altima coolings fans. ive been trying to read around on forums what year i need and all ive seen is '95.

i was wondering if anyone knew if it was 1995 - ____ ? im gonna try and look for some junk yards now but.. yea one more question... how much should these run me at a junk yard. .. dudes are always tryin to rip a chick off.

Believe it or not, the clutch fan does a pretty good job. It's tied the the engine RPM, then the clutch slips it at 3-4k RPMs. It's much more reliable than an electric fan. A friend of mine kept the stock clutch fan on his car, the temperature never got above 185 F. Trust me you won't notice the difference in power by switching to an electrical fan.

Also, if you must get electric fans, the Altima or Tauras fans are excellent. Just make sure you have them turn on and off on a temperature probe. If you leave them on all the time you will wear out your alternator and fan motors alot sooner.

Wrong. I ran a 2 speed taurus fan for 1.5 years straight off the battery to a toggle. It was a stock truck that was beat to hell. I still have the fan and will hook it up to a battery to show you it works damn fine.

It was also only a 65amp alt and I ran the fan 2 12's with a 600w amp. And it still hasnt had an issue charging.

As for the taurus fans, yes they work damn fine. I do have one for sale, comes with enough 10awg to wire it up. $40 and I will show you it works when you come to get it.
