I'd have to see it first but probably no.

I like to see rate of change, something an analog gauge is better at conveying to the user. Digital is just an absolute value, more difficult to monitor out of the corner of your eye while driving.

Im sure that was just a prototype just cut sloppy, when they put it into production it'll be cleaner.
