whats the button under the gas pedal?

What is the button under the gas peddal for. Its only pushed in when the peddal is all the way down.

If you press it, you'll automatically go into "Drift Mode." You'll be driving sideways everywhere!

Dude, I thought so. Whenever I press the button when Its raining I go into what you call "drift mode" and I do go sideways every turn!

I heard it was a kickdown switch for the automatic...but I'm not sure.
