Default remove 350z rear tower and tower box

ok so just this one time, i need to use my 350z to take a trip orlando for a week. anyone that has seen the trunk of the Z's knows you cant even get groceries in there. lol i need to be able to fit 2 decent size suite cases.

has anyone taken out that rear tower bar/ tower box w Z logo?
is it easy and was there much to it?
anyone know any sites that has a tear down of the rear of the 350Z

just wandering how much hassle im gona have tonight when i go to remove this. i am well aware that its support for the car and its there for a reason, but i dont need it for a straight shot to Orlando.

Thanks
D

after 1 min i had the plastics off, and realized that its not a tower bar. ITS AN INTIRE TOWER BOX FRAME, that is part of the car frame. haha

If no one is riding with you, you could take the passenger seat out. I've not done this in a Z before, but I did it in a toyota celica and it took about 5 minutes.... very easy.

^+1 Take 2 duffel bags and flatten them out then pack the car. Once u get somewhere put what u need for the day/trip in the duffel bags.

It's their for rigidity purposes and is a integral part of the towers. I'd look into the luggage setup that you can buy from nissan if you need to maximize your use of space. You bought a Z, it's a sports car and not meant to be practical (unfortunately).
