Need carpet for my 240...
I hate my stockinteriors.com carpet. It was a total pain in the ass to install. I would've rather pulled my engine and reinstalled it than done the carpet job. I had to trim it just to get pieces of the interior in for final fit, but even though I left excess, when I bolted the interior stuff in suddenly the carpet was slightly too small because it wasn't molded well and had bunched up in the corners. So now my carpet loves to pop out of the plastic side rails or corners because it's cut slightly too short.
Basically, the fitment is absolute garbage. It's only barely "molded" and doesn't really fit into the car well. It was a pain in the ass to install. If I had to do it again I would do everything in my power to find a stock carpet even if it was a bit rough and steam clean it, dye it, do whatever I had to make it work. Stock carpet has 100x better fitment. If I couldn't find a stock carpet I would go to an upholstery shop and pay them for a custom job even if it cost $500.
The funny thing is that I read nothing but positive reviews before buying the carpet, but when I searched on some of my complaints after the install I found a bunch of people who hated it just as much as I did. Very annoying to find that stuff only after buying something.

thanks for the post jordan, very helpful information. I am reconsidering buying a pre-molded carpet now. Are there any places that you know of that could put in custom carpet for me?
