I would like to know what needs to be done to drop in a vq motor into my 97 altima. If it is able what needs to be done. Info please I want to hopefully do the swap in the next month or so.

why do a vq when theres ls1's

 

you laugh at the ls1 thing... but there is a variant of the LS1 that goes into FWD Impalas these days... FWD and all..

 

i have seen a vq35 in a sentra so it should have no prob in a altima, it is for sale on here(sentra)

 

Yeah I have seen it in the sentra. So that is why I am asking if it could be able to be put into my altima.

 

Check nissanclub.com there was a guy on there doing a vq into his u13 altima.

It's possible, but it's probably a lot more than you're willing to spend. I'll give you a hint, grab EVERYTHING you possibly can out of the Maxima. For an Alti, you can probably get away with straight up SpecV axles. The wiring is the biggest nightmare you will ever face.

There are many B15 swaps, these days, you might want to look up Travis (Unlucky on some forums), he's in Louisiana.
