ok, when i start from a stop in 1st or reverse, when i let my foot off the clutch there is a screeching, chirping, chattering kinda grinding noise. its really fcuking loud. but there is no other problems when im shifting to 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th, or if im downshifting. its only when im trying to go from a complete stop. i dunno what it is. help me. please. thanks in advance.

no. its at my mechanic right now, they dont even know what it is, so their having their friend who owns a transmission shop come by and look at it. i dont have time to mess with it because of work and school, but im trying to see if anybody has an idea of whats wrong so when i get a chance i will go look at it to see if thats the problem. ill check the clutch lines and slave cylinder when i get a chance to go see my car tho.

 

It's hard for me to tell without hearing it in person but it sounds like you've got some issues related to the throwout or the pressure plate/diaphragm.

Time to pull the tranny, dude. It sucks but that's the only way you're really going to find out what it is. We can speculate until we all turn blue in the face but until you get to see the damage, it's a moot point.

 

 

well fuck me. i just called the shop. it needs a fcukin clutch and maybe a flywheel.fcukin $685 with the flywheel, and $605 just with the fcukin clutch. this is just fcukin great. there goes my money ive been saving for an sr swap. just awesome
