Diff question...
Can I install the guts of a J30 diff into a S13 pumpkin?
Got parts all over and want a functioning diff. The reason I want to swap the guts is the J30 has ABS crap all over it and won't fit properly under the car.
Thanks

Yea, you can fit any R200/V diff into any R200 pumpkin from what I understand.
EX - Im running a R33 GT-S VLSD in an S13 Open diff pumkin on my S14. And I just got a 4.36 fd and pumpkin from a GT-S skyline today from Epstein which I need to find another VLSD to put into.
Just make sure you remember what parts go on the left and what goes on the right.

if you have both diffs already out of the car, i would think it would be easier, than pulling out your stock axles and replacing your stock axles if with ones from a lower year j30 if you dont have access to a lift and your doing it in your driveway.
I just about to ask if you still had to use the J30 axels...
So unless you're looking to do the 5 lug swap by means of entire rear end swap, you're better off to just swap the guts of the diff out
right?

just go welded
but yea the guts will definatly fit into the diff.

Now, this is really quite simple, ok? Understeer works like this; you drive down the road, turn the wheel, but the car goes straight on, crashes into a tree and you die. Oversteer works like this: you drive down the same bit of road, turn the wheel, but the back of the car comes round like this, and you go off the road, crash into a tree and you die. Now, oversteer is best, because you don't see the tree that kills you.

All you need is the proper Diff cover, Halfshafts and corresponding axles
All the guts can be swapped from one R200 pumpkin to another R200 pumpkin.
