i moved on to watching live action shows...

i watch alot of j-dorama...which alot are based off manga (like the one in my sig)...

i will look into what you listed...

for me number one was BEBOP...as far as animation and storyline...very very good, the movement in that show was very lifelike.

you wont find me watching any of the "new" (to america) stuff just for that reason..

old school staples like cowboy bebop, trigun, neon genesis, Gundam, escaflowne, (which rivals Bebop in my #1 spot for best story line and character developement) ghost in the shell, akira, ninja scroll, etc. still remain favorites of mine though.

if i was given a free paintjob like this and HAD to chose an anime character to put on it...you'd find the likes of wing zero, escaflowne, spike, or vash on there
Yeah, Vash would be sweet.

My favorites:

Berserk:

Ergo Proxy:

Black Lagoon:

Evangelion:

Cowboy Bebop:

Among others: Trigun, Gunslinger Girls, Blue Gender, Naruto Shippuuden, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, etc.

I enjoy anime because of the storyline and plot which I feel is much more imaginative than anything coming from Hollywood these days. The character development and content are for the most part, top notch. Many of the stories and themes within these anime are excellent, and most are adult orientated, meaning blood, gore, nudity, violence, when necessary.

If you liked Cowboy Bebop, you'll like Black Lagoon and Ergo Proxy. Check them out.

I like how this thread turned into an anime discussion.

I dont care much for the shows as I can never finish a series.
But If you guys know any REALLY good movies that do not come from a buncha show or do not require me to watch a buncha episodes to understand them send them my way
