so i bought...
amen. i would just wait and find something 6bolt. its so much easier and thats what i did. you dont have to swap out the axles, all it is if the vlsd you buy is 6bolt, you unbolt the driveshaft, the half shafts that connect to the diff, and the diff itself and drop it. so much easier than pulling the axles too.

really? ok, what car can the six bolt be yanked outta ?
the hicas vlsd, that comes stock in a select few s13s are direct bolt up but i was told that you need to swap driveshafts as well cause the diff is .75" longer, but i did it anyway.
you can also use the j30 vlsd. if im correct, the pre 1995 j30s came 5bolt, in which you would need the axles as well, but the 95+ j30s came 6bolt.
you can also use the lsd that is out of the z32 300zxs but only the N/A version.

if you look at the axles, where they bolt to the diff, you can see that there 6bolt and thats what you need cause s13s come stock 6bolt.

If your buying performance parts from ebay your already to a bad start.
With used products its best to see the condition of the part first than to just start bidding. Do some research on what your looking to get first because the questions you have get answered weekly in most forums.
