Does tuning with an SAFC cause the car to pull timing ?

if so what amounts?

I plan on using an safc while im n/a and maybe turbo also.

as far as i know, safc just allows you to mess with A/F and doesn't do anything to timing.

But the problem is works of the MAP instead of MAF and i was told when the MAP is changed so is timing.

Yes..a SAFC will alter timing.. sometimes by a lot. It does not matter if you have a MAP or a MAF car. Basically if take % out .. i.e. stick bigger injectors in, you will be telling the computer that your map or maf voltage is lower than what it actually is reading. Basically the computer thinkgs that the motor is under less load if you decrease the MAP or MAF value. This is why it spits out less fuel.. and more timing. The lower the load value.. the less fuel and more timing the ECU will output.

In other words... get injectors that are not massivley bigger than stock.

hell no.. nissan uses such pussy ass timing on the majority of their motors, you can take like 20-30% out, while adding a turbo and still be ok

you wernt wrong btw.. the SAFC just adjust map to make the car give less fuel but in doing so cause timing to change also.
