I'd say cold side since thats where the air is getting sucked in... soo that air doesnt get trapped between the throttle body plate and teh turboooo. If that happenend then it wouldnt be too good for thee turboo y0! but whatever its all the same right? lol/

yeah, so I guess cold would be the way to go. Im just worried about compressor surge, I would think that having it on the hot pipe would help prevent that?

It really doesn't matter. Wherever you mount it, just make sure you vacuum lines are as short as possible. You'll get slightly better response. If you have a vacuum nipple on your hotpipe or turbo, run the BOV there. If not run it on the cold pipe next to the throttle body, where you have your choice of 3 vacuum lines to T from. I believe one is actually free.

along with that link, i linked it to another thread with 2 pages of helpful info from nissan's brainies....we know who they are

Google your search sometimes dude.

On the throttle body,
Cap off the bottom nipple, have the right one...i can't remember which one goes which, but one of the top two goes to the fuel regulator, the second goes to the BOV. Experiement wit those two. start up the motor, swap them if it doesnt idle right.

nipples => lactate
