95' 240 totalled or not?
So i got t-boned saturday at the passenger side fender and door. Got a body shop estimate 4000 for repairs on the door chassis, fender, wheels and painting the whole thing.
That can be done, but then comes the question of the engine. KA n/a idling right now at 600rpms and stalling in neutral when i take my foot off the clutch.
Needless to say it's in some shitty condition. Question is, which would cost me more fix the KA, Scrap the car and buy an older 240 with an SR20, or pull the KA and put in an SR20. I'm gonna make this thread a pole and i need some answers fast cause i gotta make the decision in the morning.
Any advice is appreciated.

I don't have photos now :\ I might be able to get them to you late tomorrow night. But there's multiple vacuum leaks that i can hear, the brake system is shot (pedal's as hard as a rock) and there's a dent atleast 8 inches into my passenger side door and fender.
^ depends on how bad the damage is, sometimes you can have a body shop do only the things you cant do and do the rest yourself picking up parts from tr. A good paint job you are looking at 2k so they are pretty much saying 2k in body work.. 2k in body work is not that much damage, so thats why I said I need to see some pictures.
like epstein said. part out whatever you can, buy a new car.
^ that is true. I repaired a EG civic with frame damage. Hit the wall @ 30 mph on i-275, head on. Took 2 days for repairs, sold it for $2k
There are also some bodyshops that are slowing down. so they are looking for something to do everyday, not profiting much.
I know a shop that can do a decent (base, clear) paint job for $1k

The value on 240sx chassis is so low that it's a waste of time to deal with any sort of frame damage. If you're only going to break even, then you might as well save the time and money and throw it in the dumpster. Or, part it like I said and salvage a few bucks. Maybe even enough for a beater ebay SR20.

^ time effort and such we haveno pictures so we dont know how bad it is, and it is an s14 which has more value than an s13.
As for the idling problem sounds to me like just a vaccum leak.
