Cant use any existing oil pan, i'm going to fabricate one and a new pickup.

Headers will be a bish, cant use my meziere electric water pump as it sits about 7/16" from the koyo radiator, going back to a stock LT1 pump will get me about 4-5" of clearance there.

Interesting. Don't know if I've seen anybody swap an LT1 into a 240. Couple of LS1 swaps out there. Headers are tricky on the LS1s too from what I read. What made you choose the LT1- did you already have it built in another car and you're switching cars? Or was it the cost factor? I thinking about a V8 swap next year and I'm looking at the LS2, which will probably be 3x more than an LT1 would be.

I already had the engine, i bought the car with a rod knocking SR20, bought a longblock for it and the top end of it went to s%^ before i could put it in gear, i think someone did a halfa$$ rebuild on it. It's just a possibility right now, i havent done anything permanent to the car, im trying to see if the place i got the engine from is going to help me out any with "warranty" then i guess i'll decide the route im going to go.

If i had both my jobs still i'd just put the LT1 back in my fc body, but im just not up for two slow projects right now....
