Default power steering problems

ever since i took my car out tuning for street tunes when i put my greddy e-manage in my power steering has not been working right. it first stopped after a high rpm pull while tuning. then i did another and it worked fine. then after a few more it didnt work at all. i rode around for a few days like that then i did a power steering fluid flush. still nothing. so i put the pump that was originally on my car with the old motor that still worked fine before i pulled it. it works, but only when im not at idle. i get nothing at idle but if i rev to 1500-2000 it starts working normally. does anyone have a clue? hopefully my rack isnt going bad or something

thanks- dimitri

OMG JDM TUNING PWNED URRR PUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no for real...

how much fluid is in your resevoir ????

if it was dry and you refilled, then you have air in your system.... if you did not have to refill and you have no visible leaks check the belt tension on your ps belt... and if that is ok, it is time for a rack. XAT has a used S14 one for $60.

tuning did pwn me, but my motor's running good

if i buy the rack from xat do i get a front end alignment free?!?! haha. it seems that may be what i need to to because the belt and tension are both good, and the fluid level never dropped but i did swap out the pump. that could have put bubbles in the system but i thought it would vent out these bubbles on its own???

you should put your working pump on, jack up your front end take your power steering cap off and slowly turn the wheel lock to lock and see if you have any bubbles coming out if not then id say go with a rack... btw do it with the engine off
