How come ahonda driver has the post in the nissan tech place? because this honda driver has a soft spot for a 240 sx. My dad wanted em to buy one before I got the civ and I wish I had I miss the rwd. I still would but I was wondering what kind of mods you could do to a newer model version. besides the basics.

There really isnt a lot of options for the stock KA engines. One company (XS Engineering) I think has finally released a turbo kit for the DOHC KA(around $4000). The KA is a big 4-banger and can put out some decent numbers at just 6psi. I think the kit makes around 240hp at the wheels. The best way to go is an SR20DET swap its expensive though.

SR engine is good for around 400hp on stock internals. Dave with the SR swap(dont think he is on this board) recently ran a 12.4@116 with larger turbo injectors etc.

Probably only mid 15s low 15s if its a 5-speed and he is lucky. Bone stock they only run low 16s. He MIGHT have gotten 15-20 hp with those mods. Stock rating is only 155hp in a 2900lb car.

I wuv my 240...91 SE super white blue pins nice Cooper Cobra radials Erebuni Supra Spoiler (it doesnt look that bad trust me) and youll-never-find-em-anywhere-else custom white gauges with blue needles. That was a BITCH to find those! I recently went to Sunshine and ran a 10.404 (1/8th). I also totally thwomped 2 other 240s both with mods (intake exhaust basic rice boy stuff) and mine is BONE stock with an A/T. I think I made one of the guys cry...I love this car and its handling. It makes me NEVER want to go to a FWD. As a matter of fact I hate FWD. And I really hate Hondas. Really.

Umm I just posted something and it said 1. It was in reply to SR20DETs last message here it is again;

The best time I have got was 15.594 and that was just with an Apexi intake and my gheto cold air extension. I average 15.8-15.7. How much more HP do you think would be needed to get down to 15.3-15.4? I went to the track after I got my Stage 3 CFDF but could not grip at all I am looking into getting some slicks so I can drop at 3.5 grand otherwise I just sit and spin.

Okay well a 1990 5 speed is nothing compared to what a 91-94 5 speed would be. The 89-90s are the KA24E a single-overhead-Cam 2.4 liter. The 91 and above got the KA24DE a Dual overhead cam engine producing about 30 more horses and MONSTEROUS torque. I waste SOHC 240s all day and all night. I just wish MY car was a 5 speed; and dare I say it the infamous SR20DET....
