I cant remember if my 99 SE Max had the same problem or not...... I had keyless entry so I probably didnt notice and I could roll both front windows down with the transmitter...

The rental place should have given you the stupid transmitter

My best time is 14.24@96(on 225/45/17)with the NOS. and 15.26@90(on 225/45/16) with no NOS I hope that when it gets a little cooler I will be able to run high 14s on motor and high 13s with the NOS that would be SWEET with just a 40shot

 

I drive a Platinum Gold (sort of a grey/silver) 96 200SX SE-R w/tinted windows.

2000 Maxima SE 5 speed here.....all stock...Booohoooo....But its still under warranty at least.
