Fixed my friends wastegate and balanced his tires on his s14 Sr while i was at school. Then came home to try and get my car to run.

 

clean my drive shaft it was all oily/dirty.
also cleaned some random parts that were nasty..

tomorrow pulling my dash and replacing the big ass metal bar that holds up the steering column. it is stripped out and my steering wheel is leaning to the left real bad,looks like it is going to break soon. so im going to fix it..

 

i am getting it rebuilt for 350... and plus the valve cover head bolts are striped...

 

checked my oil and water levels. I also properly secured my cd player and dash din.

 

What is up with all these expensive head rebuilds?
What does this 'rebuild' consist of?

Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to find out why it cost so much, I'm not trying to be a dick...

 

4 new valves,new cam followers,the things that hold the cams down,and a resurface.
my uncle works for UTI and he says he can build a v8 head for way cheaper.
like are brake claibers are almost $80 each my dads went out in his dodge 1500 and was $15 dollars. idk but american is cheaper
