well had to swap out trottle bodys from a 96 to 91 to do the swap.
and as i was changing the rear main seal i had to take off the oil pan and as i did i found a black piece of plastic in the oil pan i was like WTF. so i tilted the pan and there was more buy the dain plug. so i started to take them out some were big most was crushed up. so i tried to put my finger in the oil pick up tube and i could'nt it was slam full of little as pieces of plastic. so i held my hand under it and tapped on it with a rachet and my hand got filled up 1 1/2 times i got it all out. after that i got my light and was looking at the crank and rods, pistons, piston walls and they all look great it is still shiny no sludge so WTF i think it is all timing chain guide plastics but not sure. the motor runs good no noise good compreesion i even test drove it before i pulled it.
here are some pics

so thats what i did to it today

That's the timing chain guide. I hear that they've been known to kill motors. Having a pan full of plastic probably wouldn't hurt anything.
edit: just reread your post. If it runs fine, then you got off lucky. Some of that probably went through the oil pump, but it's just plastic.
