i used rotell or something like that. its alot heavier weight and it stopped my ka from smoking all together =) that was 32 ka's ago though. lol 80,000 ftw no smoke on reg oil

 

why is it such a bad idea to buy royal purple? i have experienced firsthand how much better it really is. i agree it shouldnt be used to try and fix a problem...but it has fixed a really bad case of lifter tick for me..and i can safely say ive never had an internal engine problem while using it.

 

today i bought some mobil 1 0w-40. heard its really good oil and stops all the ticking and crap. also picked up a can of seafoam, which i am gonna do tommorow. but quck question for you guys: for running the sea foam through the intake, where should i suck it up into? i heard on an s13, its best to do it in the brake booster. not sure about s14's though? any input?

 

me and a friend did it on my old coupe thru the brake booster it worked fine
we had to pure it in a cup then slowly suck it up. at first we just stuck the hose in the can but then it crushed the can to much suction lol.
newbie mistake it works great cleaned up everything really well
ohh it makes it smoke alot when you rev the motor
we were in a driveway at a busy road so when cars drove by i reved it up and it would make the road disappear and they get pissed lol white smoke everywhere

 

a cop came knocking on my friends door, because someone called them saying i was "smokin the tires"...

 

so basically suck, idle, rev, idle, rev etc. etc.? basically til all the smoke is gone? ive been looking up a bunch of info on it and everyone seems to do it a different way.

1/3 pour into gas tank, 1/3 pour into crank case, 1/3 suck, shut off car, wait 5 min, start car and idle till you want, change oil, Done .

skip the crankcase.

suck in your desired amount up till the point where you wanna stop, douse the hose in it till it stalls. let sit for 15 min. start er up and go do a few WOT runs...

instructions are on the can btw.

probably hasnt had a oil change since it had 72k.. now it has 90k twas all nasty when I last checked the oil. :O
