I hate that and love it at the same time. Most of the time I love my car but when its raining and I get a phone call I wish my car was quiet like a BMW or something like it.

Everyone who complains about the loudness of a 240 should invest in alot of sound deadening material.

You can make a 240 pretty quiet, just takes alot of money, and isn't usually worth it to the owner. Especially when you are talking about a 20 year old car.

I know a guy who owns a tire distributing company, and him and his son just finished restoring a 80's camaro. They put more money into the sound dampening than most of nissan tech has into their entire cars. That thing is so quiet on the inside, you would swear it was a new car.

No I dont want inserts, I already have them and they suck and are now completely loose.
I've done a little reading and it seems that suspension noise is increased a little, but drivetrain noise is different. On S13's with solid mounted diffs you're going to get a lot of noise. On S14's it should be a lot less. Think about it this way... you don't have and rubber between your front subframe and unibody, and it's not exceedingly noisy from that direction.

I did Nismo bushings and they were a giant pain in the ass. But, they're quieter than the Peak Perf poly inserts that I had before, and just as stiff. Going to change to an S14 subframe soon and see how that works. Just gotta get my hands on one.

Diff bushings are being left alone. My subframe moves around again and its shitty. I think I'll just get some solids from SPL and use a few layers of gasket paper to cut some noise down.

I did notice tha the RT615's seem to be noise monsters compaired to my old tires.

gasket material will tear with the amount of torque needed on the subframe bolts.
just do solids, and use some dynomat or something.

Exactly. In reality, we just need better phones.

Now that I think of it, If I had a spare subframe to take measurements off of, I could just machine some made from accetel. I have a 1 7/8th solid rod I bought awhile back.

Anyone got a subframe I can take some measuremens off of?
