how are the ebay special projector len's???

they any better then the regular housing

its not the actual projector he got from ebay, its the lens that closes off the housing

 

They suck. After taking the whole thing apart, I can see why. The "projector" is just a semi-domed piece of glass on two little pedestals. When using a conventional bulb (H4) with a dipped tip (anti-glare), the "projector" is virtually useless.

However, I just finished up my retrofit of the J30 projectors into a non-sealed beam housing just a few minutes ago. Due to the length of said projectors, I might have a few clearance issues causing me to space the headlight out about 1/4" to 1/3" from the bucket. Looks like a bit of the back of the projector is hitting the headlight cover itself. Minor hitch but that's what custom shit is all about. I'll put them in for good when I get the HID bulbs.

I'll have some pictures up soon of the construction process. Gotta say, it wasn't easy or fun but it'll be worth it to have something functional that nobody else has.

on a side note, does this sound like rodknock? when he gives it gas the noise doesnt seem to increase?

if he would have revved it a little more you could tell he doesnt bring the damn rpms over 1k

 

sounds like an exhaust leak to me, from the header.

 

it seriously doesnt sound like it and this kids like, aw i blew my motor and its knocking. blah blah blah. but when he gives it gas and stuff, it doesnt continue to knock and such.

 

knocking is louder and mostly continues throughout the rpm's.

 

if you get the rolla you have to put PR stickers all over it

i was at the brandon mall last night and saw a pristine hachi coupe...like mint inside and out
