I have the weirdest fucking vacuum leak somewhere around my intake manifold. It sounds like some one is blowing a whistle.

Its really fucking frustrating.

Man! It took most of the day just finding the end of this tread!

But seriously, I replaced the tired fuel pump in my chuki with a walbro unit yesterday, because the orginal one was doing some funky things. Now looking for an adjustable FPR after hearing a mixture of opinions on whether or not I would need one. I think I should have had the regulator at the time of the fuel pump install, but sometimes money and necessity dont always meet in the middle.

Currently I'm listening to suggestions about which might be a good and cost effective brand too. Though, right now the Megan unit is looking like a good option.

spray carb/injector cleaner around the area, when the idle changes you can start to isolate it.

Thanks, I'll try that when I get home. I sprayed some wd40 stuff around the gaskets and didnt find anything, but I was rushing because it was starting to rain. I kinda think it might be the hose for the PCV valve or the one leading to the brake booster. All the emission stuff is gone so there isnt much to go wrong.

What ever the cause is, it has to be a tiny hole because its causing a hell of a racket. I thought my ears where going to start bleeding.

You could try a soapy water spray too... non caustic and it will just bubble where the leak is. Plus side... cleans up your engine a bit in the process.

On topic... nothing at all... it got rained on while I was here jailbreaking 60 Blackberry 8800's.

HAHA Frank, I never know what his screen name is, I just know it starts with a K.

I cleaned my car yesterday after finding out i have an oil leak, I can really tell if its coming from the front main or pan gasket. But my cross member is COVERED in oil and it drips down from there.
