Default Oil Catch Can Setups - Show Pics

Post up your oil catch setup, so I can get an idea of where you guys are routing them. I've seen 3 ways. Between the T and the oil return line. Between the intake and the T. Between the PCV valve and the oil return line. Let's see your setups.

This is how I set up my breathing. I don't have much blow by. How you deal with the blow by should be different with each setup and power level.

Function over form for the punisher. Tim what's the story with V2.0? I haven't heard any updates in a while.

Preferably, you would also want the other side of the can (where the breather is) to see vacuum, since crankcase vacuum increases efficiency.

Silver Moss knows Function > Form. I hate to see poor breathing and catch can setups, regardless of what they look like.

Mike sorry man no updates. I have been to busy working and raising twin boys to finish my car. Plus with no more after hours grindhouse at XAT I can't work on it till 3:00am like we used too.

So I need to I have it hooked up to my intake like stock breathing? Please explain why I would want to do that and why it would increase efficiency. BTW my crankcase line is blocked off.

Yep. Post-filter, pre-turbo.
From my understanding it helps pull down the pistons on the power stroke and removes blowby better.
Here's what I got with a quick google search: The Pros and Cons of Racing Vacuum Pumps

Aww..why no more after hours grindhouse? I need to get my ass up there sometime to see everybody. I haven't been up there in quite a few months. Bill might be coming into town tomorrow. If he does I'm gonna see if we can head up there for a little visit. I miss all you XAT bitches!

ideally you do want it to have a vacuum source, but its fine without it.

ideally you don't want to be sucking in oil and harmful vapors either. That can cause detonation, fouled plugs, decrease intercooler efficiency, loss of power, and dirty pipes. According to Enthalpy (Scott) anyone with the boost up should delete the intake vacuum line on the oil catch. It is for stock cars only. Anyone with more than 350 hp should cap the crank case line. Any SR with 400+ should have a breather setup like mine. You guys with blow by going back into the intake on modified engines are killing yourselves.
