so on the way home from getting an oil change, i heard a loud *poof* of air, then i noticed my boost gauge was just sitting at 0 no matter if i was idling or driving. now the car is driving fine, i do hear a little comp. surge though if i try to gas it a bit, but i tried to keep it under 3k rpms now when i got home i popped the hood and looked around but i didnt notice anything different. i do hear some sort of hissing towards the firewall but i dont see anything that looks wrong. anyone ever have this problem here? oh and its a blacktop s13 sr

 

It seems like you should check the vacuum line that goes to the boost gauge.

 

yeah the line popped off your gauge that was it has to be
hince the 0 reading and the hissing which is the hose sucking air

 

its not blowing off either, usually if i tap the gas it blows off cuz i have the hks ssqv and it blows off all the time

 

ok i checked again and it looks like the vaccume line cracked. so i put it pack on and the boost gauge is reading as normal but since the line is loose its acting all fidgety(sp?) like its twitching between 0.4 and 0.6

 

yeah run a new line. problem solved

 

so fix it?

wow you actually took the time to post that? i already fixed it temporarily dude.

and when the line was off it was idling badly like around 300-400rpm, but i put the line back on and went back up to 1000-1200. ill just replace it tomorrow when advance opens up or something
