I have a 99 v-6 that has ran pretty good until the radiator top blew out the side. Is this common? The car has about 120k and the maintenance has been kept up. It sounded kinda funky when it started up then the radiator blew after about an hour driving on the interstate. Any Ideas?

I bought a new one for $121 total. Guy said he sells about 3-4 per week for Infiniti. He said most will pop about 100k.

center portion is aluminum but top and bottom are again plastic. Should last for another 100k. Bought a new thermostat also, but it was the first time I had to purchase the thermostat installed in the neck. That was $22. Kinda weird.

i know the maxima's go too, but all radiators that have plastic suck ass. get a full metal replacement. Plastic sucks when it comes to radiators.
