you guys are so misinformed. Neo VVL SR20VET... comes in an X-TRail Nissan.... AWD .. transverse setup.. (FWD style) and makes close to 320 crank hp. (276 is all the japanese will print). This motor makes close to 285 hp at the wheels with a FWD tranny in a Sentra ... completely bone stock at 11 psi.

SR20VET

The 2.0 L (1998 cc) SR20VET was the first turbocharged engine from Nissan with variable timing and lift control. It produces 280 PS (206 kW) @ 6400rpm and 309 nm @ 3200rpm.
Too bad we dont get it.

lol i know what im talking about that wasnt turbo that one is just a VE yes the x-trail came with the vet but they are super rare to find.. yes you can mate them to a sentra/g20/200sx FWD tranny and put them in but the swap definately isnt easy and yes its rated at like 270-280hp depending on who you talk to. im not sure what the real power output is but either way that motor in a sentra or g20 or 200sx would be really fast.. i mean the avenir motor fairly stock in one of those cars is pretty quick so add another 60hp in stock form and it would be fast

The SR20VE is a 2.0l and the SR16VE is a 1.6l. There is better versions of both the VE motors. There is the SR20VE 20V which there is about 4 of in the states and they only came in the p12 G20s in Japan with a 6 speed tranny. Then there is the SR16VE N1 which came in the VZR pulsar which is a hatch back of the B14. It made 200hp from the factory because of a nissan PP job on the head along with bigger cams and better S/R. The N1 cams are the best factory cam out right now for the VVL motors.

You can put a VVL head on a 240 you just need to put it in a s14 if I remember correctly.

I am building a drag b14 with a fully build VE in it. I better S/R and a custom cam set up. Should be able to rev to 10k no problem.

If you have any more questions pm me.
