Default S14 SR20 Starter??

My starter is going out on my motor and I'm gonna need a new one. Is there any USDM Starters that will work on an S14 SR20DET? If not where can I find one. Thanks for any help, and fuck you to anyone who is an asshole.

Hey
A while back I was in the same situation as you are.

It was on S13, but more than likely it will apply to s14

I didnt want to buy a used rwd SR starter since it was a gamble on how long it would last. I didnt want to get my starter rebuilt because of the downtime and potential high price.

I used a rebuilt starter for a s13 ka24de.

Pretty much you just re-use the bottom portion/bracket from SR. The starter motor and solenoid are the same SR/KA

-Take apart both starters (2 long bolts on motor(10mm) / 2 short ones on solenoid(12mm))
-Install motor and solenoid from KA onto SR bottom part.

I had to get creative to hook up the small wire on the solenoid, but it works fantastic.

KA starter part you do not use:

SR starter motor / solenoid you remove:

or you can find a place that rebuilds alternators and starters, have your s14 sr starter rebuilt for $120 with zero miles.

Well thanks guys but I live in Ocala, not Tampa. I think I'm gonna take Mikey's idea. I can get my hands on a KA starter real easy.

didn't the older infinati g20s come with sr20s? would that starter work?
might be worth looking into...

but i do like the whole piecing the two starters together...

FWD and RWD flywheels+starters are not interchangeable. I would just get it rebuilt... most places warranty their work, and you don't have to get your hands dirty (other then taking your starter out and then putting it back in when you get it back).
