Default Allstate Insurance Increase for 240SX's?

Whats up everyone posting this question for my friend. Heres the deal he gets a paper in the mail today from his insurance company saying that a statewide percentage increase has been made only on Nissan 240SX's. So, his monthly payment went from about $260 to $315. Has this happened to anyone besides him? He recently got a ticket for a sound violation for his muffler, does that have anything to do with his insurance rate going up? I think this is just a bunch of BS that the company is trying to pull or something. So if anyone has Allstate or any insurance company see if they did the same to you. Thanks for any input

You are probably a dependent on your mommys insurance

I pay 155 a month with a scarred driving record. If he has full coverage thats what does it. They are expected to have modifications now I am assuming.

My freaking Civic Si was considered "Sports Car" insurance. tell me how that works!!!??!!!

I pay $105/month for a '91 with full coverage through AIG. I'm 22. Perfect record.

An insurance company raises rates on car that's probably the least safe and most modified out there these days? Sounds right to me. You guys should have seen the insurance rates for my WRX when it just came out in 2002. By the end of 2003, they had figured out that it wasn't a commuter sedan and that every overprivleged 16yr old had already stuffed one into a ditch. Lets just say that rates went up a little more than the 20% quoted above.

If ou guys are going to quote numbers, you should also be listing the coverage, your age, your model, and your insurer. All of that makes a difference. We'll just assume since we all drive 240's that we all have less than perfect driving records (wreckords?).
