verts?? wth
weak chassis takes a lot of bracing. if you end up upside down fail! The chick factor of the 240 vert long since vanished in the mid 90s.
im confused cause sink gets away with it and quite well i might add. no they are not hard tops, but there is enough factory bracing to make the just as strong as a fastback. put a cage in it youll be straight.
it takes a lot of talent to flip a car w/ decent suspension.
they are heavier unless you pull all the top motors and wires and shit out.
convertibles are not for performance. but they can be made to perform. get an opinion from jrsink and here from someone who does it.

^^knows a little something
When you pull the soft top and swap the doors you loose a couple hundred pounds quick.
When you put in the cage or even get it started the chassis catches up quick, there is bracing there that I wish my car had.
Visibility kicks ass.
The first time you slide in an empty car with nothing over or around you your balls get bigger and life becomes more dull.

verts are where its at bro yea i saw jrsink at the port charlotte qualifier and his drifted pretty good (besides him showing up late and not having any practice) but other than that there was no car flipping.. haha id do it and throw an sr in it with some nice suspension to ride on and like the above posts a cage will deffinatly add some support.

Almost every convertible ever built was re-engineered or "modified" from some kind or coupe or other form that came before it.
oh, and who is "a company"?
and what "a company" did this for the japanese domestic market?
