if it is a 5spd, then no, no dip stick, as far as i am aware, there isn't ever a dip stick on any manual car...
if it is an automatic, then yes, there is a dip stick, and as far as i am aware, there will always be a dip stick or an automatic.

5speed trannies, much like differentials are filled to a level that denoted by the fill hole. the correct fill hole for the transmission is on the side. when fluid reaches the height of the hole, its full.
but its a bitch. drain out the bottle, fill thru the shifter hole (remove the shifter first). fill with 2.5quarts of gear lube.
