Default I need new brakes!!!

But I have no idea where to go to get them done.
Who in Tampa does a good break job? I need turned/new rotors and new pads.

If I had the time and the equipment I would do them myself, but I don't have either.

So... give me names and stuff.

I am aware that they are all the same, I have done plenty of them.
I am looking for someone that does them well.
The whole point of this site is to find and distribute information. For all I know there might be someone here who reads this, that works at a shop and can do them tomorrow. I would rather give my money to someone I know is gonna do it right . As opposed to taking it to a shop that I don't know anything about, paying them to do it right and then having it be fucked up or sup-par.

So, I ask again for shops in specific that people have been to. Not for generalizations or retorts about how simple of a job it is.

Don't bother turning them, especially if theyre the original brakes. I think mine were .15 past the machining limit when went to put them on the lathe. Just find an OEM replacement at DAP or similar and do that shits yourself. Theres nothing worth doing to the 240's stock brake system. If you want something worth while find a z32 conversion or even a 180sx in your case.

Hope that helps.

I know you want a shop, but i would suggest calling around and finding a place that would machine the rotors. I only paid 45 bucks for all four and it was actually a pretty good job, but that was over here in St. pete. As long as the calipers are good, I would just get the better advance auto brake pads. ( can't remember if it is lifetime, or 2 years..) those pads aren't bad. With the new pads and machined rotors, you'll basically stop as good as the stock set up will allow. If you find a good shop, you should only spend like 80 to 100 bucks for the whole project. then you would know that it was done right and complete. other than that, any shop is gonna do about the same... just brakes sounds like a good deal, i've never looked into it though.
Other than your performance shops like XAT, I can't think of anyone that works at a shop. maybe someone will turn up....

Commercial Places like Just Brakes and Midas are'nt going to turn those rotors. If he can actually feel that he needs new rotors, he more than likely is past the machining limit.

Why don't you just get all new rotors, and pads.

Fuck machining.

Do it.

I'll help.

BTW, I saw you driving on countryway today. I was in a Ram though, not my 40.

I have already helped him work on his car once, and really don't mind doing it again.

Yeah, pricing out new rotors and pads now. If I had the cash I would do a brake upgrade, but for now I just need to stop.

I was at a clients shop out on countryway today. I'll give you a call later and hopefully I'll be able to do this before the meet.
