Default help

does this sound fucked up or is it me? i sold my 99 v6 cougar beacuse the insurance was 305 a month and i wanted something witha 4cyl. so i bought an auto sohc 90' 240sx hatchback and the quotes i got from 3 insurance companies so far are 305! from each and everyone of them if not close to that value! is it me or does it sound like im getting fucked over? i figured a 4cyl would be around 150? not the sm price as my huge 6cyl. the main reason they are giving me is beacuse im 17? which is complete bullshit beacuse i can name atleast 3 kids i know my age with 240's that pay a mere 150-170 a month. wtf is going on? does anyone have any recomendations for a insurance company? help

i have no coverage on my car, but everything else in the world is covered...+million dollar liability...

i pay 237 a month....

im not the most experianced in this matter, but as far as i know it allllll comes down to what coverage you have, like shimei said if your rocking PIP it should be cheap

you're 17
you're male
and you drive a sports car. (yes, thats right, a sports car. you don't have to have a v8 to go fast)

insurance companies don't like you. they know that you are gonna cost them money. so they are going to get as much as possible out of you. if you are looking to pay as little as possible, shop around, find some whole in the wall company, and get the bare minimums. I would suggest that you take your driving (and luck) into account. If you get in a wreck, you'll wish you had that full coverage.

since he'll be on his own plan...it should be around $265/mt for the first 6 months and 100-150 afer that (pip)

if he didnt have any prior accidents or tickets...

if you wreck your car and its your fault...sucks for you kid...

i wouldnt get full coverage unless you drive like an idiot...and even if you do try to not hit anyone...if you feel an accident is immnent head offroad...

you can repair a 240 for cheap these days...either that or we'll end up buying parts off of you...

moral of the story.

buy a honda. drive to and from work/school/the scene. get a good education and/or job. buy a better car.

oops....too late...i read your sig...

if you cared about money, nows not the time to be swapping engines...even if you DID get full coverage...i'm not sure how insurance companies handle non OEM engines...

you're fucked either way...

PM me when you crash...i might buy parts from you
