i should have said they need to bend the intake runners still. they dont clear a stock hood. they dont need to make them shorter.

and look on ka-.org for some info. there is a plethera of info about runner length

so thats why when you do ITBs, the runners are so much shorter, you don't really gain anything down low. its all high end gains... more or less...
