No. The iridium NGKs you get at autozone are better than say the bosch/autolite/champions. However, the copper NGKs are even better than the iridium NGKs.

For daily driven cars not throwing down some serious numbers, I use iridiums because they tend to last longer and take richer conditions better without fowling out.

For high horsepower I have had better luck with copper but have to change them out more frequently, but maintenance just comes with horsepower or cars in general, you learn to deal with it.

Only NGK BTW.
