Anyone know of where to find cheaper Xylene than 10 bux a gallon at Sherwin Williams? Or Tolunen? I haven't really looked around much. Everytime I have ever bought it was from the Sherwin Williams near me. Just thought I would ask.

 

try NAPA. the stuff is used to wipe down surfaces for paint prep right?

 

Yeah and octane booster. Xylene is a pure hydrocarbon and 117 octane. Toluene is 114 octane and are your main ingredients in over the counter octane boosters. Their kinda hard to find.

my old roommate who used to dump loads of that in his dsm got it at home depot. i dont know the price but that and lowe's are other places to check.

 

I know that lowe's and home depot carry. I was looking for a cheaper place to find it. Like some mom and pop paint store someone knows about that sells it for like 5 bux a gallon.

i've heard of octane booster, but all it does is raise the octane by like one half with that little ass bottle.
